What’s actually in your water?
Put in your ZIP and we’ll tell you who supplies your water, where it comes from and what your utility publishes about it — before anyone calls you.
Why this matters
You already know something’s off with your water
Most people don’t call us because they read a water quality report. They call because of one of these four things.
Spots on everything
Glasses come out of the dishwasher cloudy. Shower doors film over days after you clean them. That's dissolved calcium left behind when hard water evaporates.
Skin and hair feel wrong
Soap doesn't rinse off properly in hard water, so it sits on your skin. Dry, itchy skin and flat, brittle hair are the most common complaints we hear.
Your water heater is dying early
Scale builds up on the heating element and insulates it, so the heater burns more energy to do less. Hard water can take years off its life.
It tastes like a pool
Chlorine is added to keep city water safe on the way to your house. It does its job — it just doesn't taste good in coffee.
Our systems
Built for the water you actually have
City water and well water are different problems. A 2,000 sq ft home and a 5,000 sq ft home are different problems. We size the system to your house, not to a price list.
Most popularStandard Whole-Home Softener + Filtration
48,000 grains. Soft water and chlorine filtration in one tank.
Handles the two problems almost every Middle Tennessee home has at once: hard water that scales your pipes and water heater, and chlorine that makes water taste like a swimming pool and dries out skin and hair. One tank, one valve, installed free.
Best for: Most 3–4 bedroom homes on city water

Best sellerTankless Reverse Osmosis — 800 GPD
800 gallons a day, 7 stages, no bulky tank under your sink.
Tankless reverse osmosis that filters down to 0.0001 microns — fine enough to take out lead and other heavy metals, dissolved solids, chlorine and common contaminants. Because it's tankless, you get water on demand and your under-sink cabinet back.
Best for: Anyone who wants better drinking and cooking water

Dual Tank — Well Water
Built for iron, sulfur and that rotten-egg smell.
Well water is a different problem from city water. This system pairs a softening tank with a Katalox Light tank to pull out iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide — the cause of the smell, the orange staining and the metallic taste. One control valve per tank.
Best for: Homes on a private well

View systemsHow it works
Four steps, and the first two are free
We’d rather tell you that you don’t need a system than sell you the wrong one. That’s a strange thing for a salesman to say, and it’s the whole idea behind this company.
- 1
We test your water, at your sink
Free, on site, takes about fifteen minutes. You see the result yourself — we're not emailing you a PDF later.
- 2
We tell you what it means
Hardness, chlorine, iron, whatever's there. In plain terms, with what it's doing to your plumbing and skin, and what happens if you do nothing.
- 3
We size the right system
Based on your water, your household size and where the equipment can go. Not on what we'd most like to sell.
- 4
We install it
Usually a half day, and we clean up after ourselves. You know the full price before we start — there is no number on install day that wasn’t on the quote.
Book your free water test

Our story
“We have four kids drinking this water too.”
We didn’t come to this from the water industry. We came to it from reading what is actually in the water our own children drink, bathe in, and get their bottles filled from. Rutherford County publishes it at 11.3 grains — the top band on every hardness scale in the trade — and almost nobody around here knows that.
Once you know, you start noticing it everywhere. The film on the shower door two days after you cleaned it. The water heater that went early. The skin on your kids after a bath. None of it is dangerous. It is just quietly taking things from you, and it is a genuinely easy thing to stop.
So we test your water at your own sink, free, and you watch the result rather than waiting on an email. We give you one price. And if it comes back and you do not need a system, we will tell you that standing in your kitchen.

Questions
The things people ask us
Anything we haven’t covered, just call. We don’t use a phone tree.
How hard is the water in Middle Tennessee?
Hard, and harder than most people assume. Rutherford County's own utility publishes an average of 193 mg/L — that is 11.3 grains per gallon, which the industry calls 'very hard'. Nashville, on Cumberland River water, is softer at around 7 grains but is treated with chloramine instead of plain chlorine. Your street may differ from both, which is why we test at your sink rather than quoting a county average.
What does a whole-home system cost?
It depends on your water, the size of your house and where the equipment can go — so we do not publish a single figure we would then have to walk back. What we will say plainly is that we sell the same class of equipment the national brands do for roughly half what they charge. The free in-home test is what turns that into an exact number for your house, and you get that number before you decide anything.
Do I need a softener, a filter, or both?
They fix different things. A softener removes the calcium and magnesium that cause scale, spotting and that film on your skin. A filter removes chlorine or chloramine, taste and smell. Most homes on Middle Tennessee city water have both problems, which is why our whole-home systems do both. If you are on a well, iron and sulfur are usually the bigger issue and that needs a genuinely different build.
My well water smells like rotten eggs. Will a softener fix it?
No — and this is the single most common mistake in this industry. That smell is hydrogen sulfide, and a water softener does nothing to it. It has to be oxidised out first, which is what the well-water system is built to do. If anyone quotes you a softener for a smell problem, get a second opinion.
How long does an installation take?
A typical whole-home install is a half day. An under-sink reverse osmosis system is usually a couple of hours. We work around your schedule and clean up after ourselves.
Are you actually local?
Yes. Jimmy and Brianna Schwager live in Murfreesboro with their four kids and have been in Middle Tennessee their whole lives. When you call the number on this site, you are calling them.
